Dr. Hesslers professional career has been divided into two nearly equal parts. The first fifteen years were devoted to public education. For the last 18 years, Dr. Hessler has worked in the semiconductor equipment industry. He has managed technical product training, technical support services, a field customer service business and employee training and education. He lived in Japan for nearly two years and has worked with customers and employees in Europe, North America and Asia. For the last two years, Jim has worked with top management of Applied Materials to create an "Applied Global University" with the goal of developing the most innovative, flexible global workforce in the semiconductor equipment industry.
Dr. Hessler received his Bachelors degree in Social Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1964. He earned his Masters degree in Teaching in 1971 and his Ph.D. in Education in 1977 from Stanford University.
