For LIL Attendees

 

Nominations and Registration

Participation in LIL is currently by application.  Please fill out the application form, save it as a Word Document, and email it to MATECDeadline for applications to the next LIL is Friday, September 10, 2004.  Please remember that space is allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.  All nominees will be informed of their status no later than Monday, April 19, 2004.  Registration information will be sent to those selected.

 

Hardware, Software, Equipment Needed

To participate in LIL you will need the following equipment:

  • An internet connected computer
  • Macromedia Flash Player (click here for a free download)
  • A telephone

Throughout the LIL, we will be utilizing the MATEC Web Forums.  The forums are available here.

 

Deadlines and Time Involved

The LIL will not require a great amount of time.  However, all participants are expected to complete requested assignments and submit all materials by the deadline and to the required specifications.  Participation in LIL requires attendees to be available for the entire interactive lab (6 hours total).  Attendance will be monitored throughout the lab.

LIL is an opportunity for you to get feedback on your classroom activities from other experienced faculty.  You will benefit from other faculty's experience and perspective.  The LIL is a community effort, so you will also come away with a new ideas and a new group of colleagues that you can collaborate with.
